Why Customers Trust Southern Shores Moving
The same five themes show up over and over in our reviews. They are not marketing promises — they are the things customers actually call out, in their own words, after we have finished their move.
Professional & Courteous Crews
“Professional, courteous, respectful of others as well as your property.” Customers consistently mention how kind and respectful our crew is — on the phone, in their home, and around their belongings.
Careful With Furniture
“Fast but very careful with the furniture.” Speed without damage is the hardest balance in moving. We train every crew member on furniture handling before they ever touch a customer’s belongings.
Responsive & Communicative
“Very responsive before and through the process.” Customers reach a real person on the first call. We confirm arrival windows the day before and text when we are on the way.
Flexible & Accommodating
“They did it on a 2 day notice, it was also a Sunday.” We work weekends, short notice, and tight schedules. If we can fit your move into our calendar, we will.
Honest, Comparable Pricing
“Their bid was comparable or less than other companies.” The price we quote is the price you pay — no surprise fees, no double-on-move-day. Our rates compete with the chains and beat most local outfits.
We Reply to Every Review
Our team replies personally to every Google review — thanking customers by name, referencing the specific move, and following up if anything could have gone better. You can verify this on our Google Business Profile.
Customers Move Everything With Us
The reviews on this page span every kind of move we run — full-service local moves inside Mobile and Baldwin County, multi-state long-distance moves, loading and unloading help for customers driving their own truck or POD, and apartment and furniture-only jobs. Whatever shape your move takes, the standard is the same: same crew start to finish, real arrival windows, transparent pricing.
- Local moves — Mobile, Daphne, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, and beyond
- Long-distance moves — in-state and out-of-state routes to and from our Gulf Coast service area
- Loading & unloading help — you drive the truck, we do the heavy lifting

- Furniture moves — one-piece, multi-piece, in-home rearranges
- Commercial moves — office relocations, weekend & after-hours moves
Why People Choose Us Over National Chains
Customers who switch to Southern Shores from a national chain mention the same three things in their reviews: communication, real arrival windows, and the same crew start to finish. Here is what that actually looks like compared to how the big movers operate.
Communication
National chain: 1-800 number routing through a call center three states away. You explain your move three times.
Southern Shores: A real person who knows your move, your address, and your move date. We answer the phone fast and follow up the same day.
Arrival Windows
National chain: 8 AM – noon, or noon – 5 PM. You sit on packed boxes for hours.
Southern Shores: 1- to 2-hour window confirmed the day before. Text on the way the morning of the move.
Same Crew, Whole Move
National chain: One crew loads, a different crew unloads. If something arrives broken, nobody owns it.
Southern Shores: The crew that loads your truck is the crew that unloads it. One team, one job, beginning to end.
Crew Incentives
National chain: Hourly W-2s. Same paycheck whether you're thrilled or filing a complaint.
Southern Shores: Every mover earns a bonus tied to your feedback. They have a reason to care that the chains don't.
