Southern Shores Moving Services LLC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to being straightforward about how we handle your information. This page explains what we collect when you request a quote, how we use it, and what rights you have.
Information We Collect
When you fill out our free quote form, we may collect:
- Your name (first and last)
- Email address
- Phone number
- Move date and scheduling preferences
- Pickup and drop-off addresses
- Move size and any additional details you share
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide only to:
- Prepare and deliver your moving quote
- Follow up and answer questions about your move
- Communicate with you about scheduling and services
- Send you a reminder if you begin a quote request and don't finish it
We may email or text you about a quote you started or requested. We will not add you to a general marketing mailing list without your permission, and every marketing email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Text Messages and Phone Calls
When you provide your phone number on our quote form, you agree that Southern Shores Moving Services LLC may contact you by phone call and text message about your quote and your move. This includes messages sent automatically by our system — for example, a follow-up if you start a quote request and don't finish it, or a reminder before your move date.
These messages relate to the request you started with us. We do not send bulk promotional text blasts, and we never share your number with anyone else for their marketing.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. You may also opt out by replying in your own words, or by calling or emailing us — we honor any clear request to stop, however you make it.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of getting a quote or of hiring us.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties for their marketing purposes — ever. Your information is used only to help us serve you.
How Your Data Is Stored
Your information is stored in the Southern Shores Moving CRM, our own proprietary customer management system, hosted on managed cloud infrastructure in the United States and accessible only to authorized Southern Shores Moving Services LLC staff. Quote request details may also be recorded in Google Sheets for internal tracking. Emails are delivered through Resend and text messages through Quo — both established providers that maintain industry-standard security practices.
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and individual staff logins. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How Long We Keep It
We retain your information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill your request and communicate about your move. If you'd like your information removed sooner, just ask.
Your Rights
You can request that we delete your personal information at any time. Simply email us at [email protected] with your request and we'll take care of it promptly.
