Everything we get asked about pricing, booking, what’s included, move-day logistics, and the cities we serve. Don’t see your question? Call (251) 220-4350 or email [email protected].
Local moves in Mobile and Baldwin County typically range from $300 to $900+, depending on home size, distance between origin and destination, how many crew members are needed, and any add-on services like packing or furniture disassembly. The fastest way to a real number is our free online quote or a quick phone call to (251) 220-4350.
Local moves within Mobile and Baldwin County are billed hourly — a set rate per hour per crew member plus a transportation fee for the round trip. Long-distance moves are quoted as a flat rate based on weight and mileage so the price is locked in before move day.
No. The quote you receive is the price you pay. We don’t add fuel surcharges, mystery "long carry" fees, or extra-mover charges at the end. If something genuinely changes on move day — a new stop you added, an extra hour of work — we tell you in real time and you approve before we keep going.
Yes. Full-service moves have a 3-hour labor minimum and load/unload-only jobs have a 2-hour minimum. Most moves run longer than that anyway, but the minimum protects the crew on a job that wraps unusually fast.
Travel between our shop and your address is rolled into a single transportation fee on the quote — no separate fuel surcharge tacked on at the end. The fee scales with how far we have to drive; longer-distance jobs cost more, shorter ones cost less.
We accept cash, credit card, check, and Venmo. Payment is due at the end of the job once you’ve walked through and confirmed everything is where it should be.
Most local moves don’t require a deposit — we hold your date once we’ve confirmed it on a phone call or signed quote. Long-distance moves and peak-season weekend slots may require a small deposit to secure the date; we’ll tell you up front if so.
Move on a weekday rather than a Saturday, declutter before move day, pack your own boxes, and have everything ready when the crew arrives — walkways clear, boxes labeled, furniture accessible. Moving outside of summer (May–August) usually means better availability and lower demand pricing too.
A trained crew, our truck for the day, moving blankets and pads to protect furniture, dollies, tie-down straps, and the labor to load, drive, and unload. We disassemble and reassemble standard furniture (beds, tables, dressers) at no extra charge.
Yes — every piece of furniture gets blanket-wrapped before it goes on the truck. Mattresses go in mattress bags. Glass and mirrors are pad-wrapped and shrink-wrapped. This is included in the hourly rate, not an upcharge.
Yes. Standard disassembly and reassembly — beds, tables, dressers with mirrors, basic IKEA-style pieces — is included. For complex items like Peloton bikes, treadmills, or specialty workshop equipment, let us know in advance so we can plan the time and bring the right tools.
Yes. Crew arrive with allen keys, screwdrivers, basic ratchets, dollies, four-wheelers, blankets, and tie-down straps. We don’t charge equipment rental or "supply" fees — it’s all part of the labor rate.
We don’t sell or rent boxes directly, but we can recommend where to get good ones cheaply (or free). If you need professional packing service where we bring the boxes and pack for you, that’s available as an add-on — quote it when you book.
Yes. We can pack your whole house, just the kitchen and fragile rooms, or anything in between. Packing labor is billed at the same hourly rate as the move itself; we typically schedule it the day before move day.
Our home base is Mobile and Baldwin County, Alabama. We move customers in Mobile, Daphne, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, Saraland, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Foley, and every town in between — including Robertsdale, Loxley, Silverhill, Bay Minette, Semmes, and Theodore.
Yes. We do long-distance moves throughout the Gulf states (Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia) and we’ll go anywhere in the continental United States when the route makes sense. Long-distance jobs are quoted as a flat rate based on weight and mileage.
Yes. We regularly run jobs into the Florida panhandle — Pensacola, Pace, Milton, Navarre, Destin, and Fort Walton Beach. Cross-state moves are quoted on a per-job basis.
No hard limit. As long as the move stays within our local rate structure (roughly within Mobile and Baldwin County), it’s a local move. Anything significantly outside that radius gets quoted as long-distance for transparency and fairness.
Use the "Get a Free Quote" button on our website, call us at (251) 220-4350, or email [email protected]. Most quotes go out the same day — often within the hour during business hours.
We recommend 2 to 4 weeks of lead time during peak season (May through September). Off-peak (October through April), most weeks have same-week and even same-day availability. Saturdays and end-of-month dates fill up first either way — book early if you need one of those.
Sometimes. Same-day availability depends on what crews are already on jobs, but it’s common during slower months. Call (251) 220-4350 — if a crew is open, we can usually be there within a few hours.
Once we send your quote, accepting it (online or by phone) holds your date. The day before your move we send a confirmation text with the arrival window and the lead crew member’s name; the morning of, you get a "we’re on the way" text from the crew.
Pickup address, destination address, approximate home size (number of bedrooms is fine), your target move date, and any specifics like stairs, elevator access, narrow driveways, or specialty items. The more we know up front, the more accurate the quote.
You’ll get a confirmed arrival window the day before — usually a 1- to 2-hour window. The crew texts when they’re on the way that morning so you know exactly when to expect them.
A 1-bedroom apartment move usually runs 3 to 4 hours. A 2- to 3-bedroom home is typically 5 to 7 hours. A larger 4+ bedroom home can run a full day. Stairs, long carries, packing add-ons, and traffic all add time.
Have boxes packed, sealed, and labeled by room. Pull walkways clear. Take down anything mounted to walls (TVs, mirrors, art) unless you’ve booked us to do it. Disconnect washers, dryers, and ice makers. Keep important documents and valuables with you, not on the truck.
Yes. Rain, heat, cold — we move through it. The exception is dangerous weather (lightning storms, hurricane warnings, flash flooding) where we’d call you to reschedule for safety. Last-minute weather reschedules are free.
We tell you the moment it looks like the job is going to exceed the quoted hours, and you approve continuing before we keep working. There’s never a surprise overtime bill at the end — you’re always part of the decision.
Typically 2 movers for a 1-bedroom apartment, 3 for a 2- to 3-bedroom home, and 4+ for larger homes or jobs with lots of stairs. We’ll recommend a crew size on your quote based on your specifics.
Yes — for safety and legal reasons we don’t transport firearms or ammunition, live pets or animals, or hazardous materials (propane tanks, gasoline, paint thinner, fireworks). We also recommend you personally carry cash, jewelry, important documents, and irreplaceable family items rather than putting them on the truck.
Yes — heavy and specialty items are part of the job. Tell us about pianos (upright vs. baby grand vs. full grand), gun safes (and whether they’re bolted down), and pool tables when you book so we can plan crew size and bring the right equipment.
Yes. We move washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, and dishwashers. Disconnect water lines, gas, and ice makers before we arrive — or let us know in advance if you’d like the crew to handle disconnections (we can on most standard installations).
For local moves, yes — we’ll load and transport your houseplants. For long-distance moves crossing state lines, plant transport is more complicated due to state agriculture regulations and heat/cold sensitivity in the truck; we’ll talk through that on long-distance quotes.
Tipping is appreciated but never required or expected. If you do want to tip and the crew did good work, common amounts in our area are $20–$40 per mover for a half-day job and $40–$60 per mover for a full-day job. Our crew are local college students working their way through school, and any tip goes directly to them.
Local moves are billed hourly and stay within Mobile and Baldwin County. Long-distance moves cross significant distance (typically out of county or out of state) and are quoted as a flat rate based on weight and mileage, so you know the total before move day.
Yes. Cross-state moves between Alabama and Florida (or any Gulf state) are quoted as long-distance — flat rate, locked in up front. Pensacola, Mobile-to-Tampa, Mobile-to-Atlanta, Mobile-to-New Orleans are all routes we run.
Yes — apartment moves are a regular part of what we do. We handle stairs (no extra "stair fee"), elevator scheduling, parking restrictions, and tight hallways. Tell us about your building when you book so we can plan around the access.
Yes. If you’ve already got a U-Haul, PODS, or moving container, we’ll send a crew to load it for you (or unload it on the other end). Load/unload-only jobs have a 2-hour minimum and are billed at our hourly rate.
Yes. We load rental trucks, PODS, 1-800-PACK-RAT, U-Box, and any other container you’ve got. We bring the blankets, dollies, and tie-down straps; you bring the container.
Yes when we have a crew open. Call (251) 220-4350 — last-minute availability is most common in the slower months (October through April) and on weekdays. Saturdays and the last weekend of the month book up days or weeks ahead.
Our office hours are 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week. If we have a crew available, we can start a job same-day even on a phone call placed mid-morning. Larger moves usually need at least a day of notice for crew scheduling.
